Desert Artists’ League is sponsoring a watercolor and gouache workshop with David Kirk (www.dkirksworks.com). This workshop will focus on exploring the versatile water based medium of gouache. We’ll also discuss the similarities and differences between gouache and watercolor and how the two can be combined. By practicing both pleine air painting (weather permitting) and using reference work, we’ll discuss the concepts of composition, value, and color mixing, experimentation and playfulness. The workshop will be November 3 and 4, 2025 from 8 (set up) to 4pm with a lunch break at the Church of the Nazarene, 517 N. Norma St, Ridgecrest CA.
