Knik Tribe would like to acknowledge that we gather and govern on the traditional lands of the Dena'lna Athabascan people whose presence and stewardship continues today and dates back countless generations. We would also like to acknowledge Knik Tribal Council the governing elected body of Knik Tribe that leads with honor and gratitude the first peoples of this land. We pause to also acknowledge the painful history of genocide and forced removal of the many Dena'lna Athabascans that have occurred, while honoring and respecting those still connected to this land. Our community owes its existence to the first people and previous generations who contributed their hopes, dreams and energy leading us to this moment. Thank you for allowing us to honor you.
