Even before she entered school, her mind was made up; she wanted to be an artist, and the rest, as they say, is history. Pat grew up on her family farm in Chesterfield County, Virginia, and she and her husband Stan now reside in the Village of New Knoxville, a small farm community in Auglaize County, Ohio, where they raised their three kids and have lived there for over 55 years. Pat's preferred artistic focus is vintage barns and farm landscapes in and around Auglaize County, Ohio. She is motivated to document the culture of this mid west rural lifestyle since many of the area's once stately century barns are falling into disrepair and farm land is slowly giving way to other uses. She additionally paints general rural themes in addition to local subjects and she and Stan have enjoyed traveling, usually by camper, across the US, where she constantly photographs ideas to bring back and use for additional artistic projects. Some time ago Pat challenged herself to find and participate in an art venue in each of our 50 States and in 2014 she completed this goal and managed to take a number of National and International Awards in the process, including a number of Best in Show. (see *blog spot ) She has also produced a number of signed and numbered limited edition prints locally and has done freelance and commissioned art for private individuals, group fundraisers as well as corporate work
