In 1959 the Department of the Army, Department of the Navy, and Department of the Air Force had total control over U. S. Space program plans. One of these plans in that year was designed to build a new base. The bases location: The Moon. In this program you will hear about the endeavor we had to take to complete this mission and how it would be ultimately scrapped. However, is this dream a reality taking place today?Join the Museum Educator in the STEM Inspiration Center to learn about moon bases and seek answers to questions. Following the presentation take a guided tour with the museum educator. Presentation starts at 2:00PM tour follows at 3:00PM.
