One Day Class Master the Fundamentals of SewingDiscover the joy of sewing in this beginner-friendly workshop! Whether you're picking up a needle for the first time or returning after a break, this class will build your confidence with both machine and hand sewing. You'll learn:Machine essentials - from threading and bobbin winding to adjusting tensionMachine troubleshooting - cleaning and changing a needleBasic stitches - perfect your straight stitch and explore the versatility of zig-zagMaterials know-how - select the right needle and thread for your projectsHands-on practice - guide fabric through your machine and experiment with different stitchesWe'll wrap up with essential hand-sewing techniques, including the satisfying skill of attaching buttons properly. Bring your own machine and manual. If you need to rent a machine let us know. There is a 25 fee for machine rental. If you purchase a machine from us, the rental applies towards the purchase. We have a special sewing machine bundle that includes a Bernette B33, a walking foot, and the class for only 329! Please allow 2 weeks for machine delivery if purchasing the bundle. To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. In the event that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel 7 days prior to class to receive a FULL refund or store credit. If you cancel between 6 and 4 days prior to class date, there is a 50% forfeiture fee and you will receive store credit only for the difference. If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
