After moving to Toronto to pursue a music career, Sexsmith released his first album, "Grand Opera Lane," in 1991, which, despite initial rejection in Canada, garnered attention in Los Angeles. His self-titled 1995 album ultimately received critical acclaim, praised by Rolling Stone and endorsed by Elvis Costello. In conjunction with this musical celebration, don't miss the Minnesota State Fair Reject Show at Douglas Flanders & Associates, showcasing over 70 artworks by local artists that were not accepted for the Fine Arts building this year.
