Hosted by the Danforth Center Young Friends, Party with the Plants is a fundraising celebration that gives attendees the chance to meet and socialize with Danforth Center scientists, sample drinks and hors d'oeuvres from local vendors, try out unique scientific activities, compete for raffle prizes, and much more! This year’s theme is Plants in Paradise, so come prepared to show off your best tropical looks and get ready for some end-of-summer fun. At Party with the Plants on September 26, Sugarfire will debut the Botanical Belly—whipped cassava mash topped with sorghum-glazed pork belly--with ingredients inspired by Danforth Center research. Join us at Party with the Plants for the first taste of this delicious dish and a live BBQ demo from Sugarfire founder Chef Mike Johnson. (After the debut, the Botanical Belly will be available each Friday at Sugarfire’s Olivette location with a portion of proceeds going to the Danforth Center.) We welcome direct and in-kind donations.
