The Gus Macker Tournament made a vibrant comeback to the Shenango Valley in 2024, attracting 104 teams and 411 players from 12 states after a long hiatus. With 8 food trucks, exciting competitions such as a slam dunk and 3-point contest, and support from 118 volunteers and 21 sponsors, the event drew over 3,000 attendees. For 2025, Buhl Park aims to elevate the experience further, offering participants wristbands for half-price pool admission and access to the unique free 9-hole golf course. Snappy’s Floatin’ Boats will provide kayak and paddleboard rentals for exploring Lake Julia. The event will culminate with the Free Summer Concert Series featuring 4 Kings and A Queen on Sunday at 6 PM.
