Volunteer to vanquish invasive weeds and be a habitat hero! Join Red-tail Land Conservancy on Saturday, September 27th from 10am-12pm to cut down honeysuckle and other invasive weeds and help restore the woods at Blue River Bottoms Nature Preserve.
What to wear: Please wear long sleeves, pants, and sturdy-toed shoes. Hats are recommended.
Directions & Parking: River Rd, New Castle, IN 47362. Staff will be present to direct parking along the sides of River Rd.
What to bring: Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. A jug of water will be provided for water refills. If you have work gloves and loppers, we suggest you bring them. If not, loppers and disposable gloves will be provided.
Age requirements: Because of the dense vegetation, this workday may not be suitable for young children.
Because of space limitations for parking, registration is required. Please let us know you are coming! If you represent a group, the registration form as a space to note how many people will attend.
