Coordinated by community volunteers, the Annual Fitchburg Forge-In Blacksmith Art & Music Festival has successfully showcased artisans from Western New England. Since 2003, we have welcomed over 10,000 visitors to our festival, and we expect many more this year.The festival is designed to promote the craft of blacksmithing and the arts. The exciting Forge-In live competition, where blacksmiths create preset projects using traditional fire and anvil methods, makes this an unusual event. Live music, arts, and craft vendors will be present.Admission to the Festival is free, made possible by the generous contributions of many businesses, individuals, and organizations. We highlight this event to the public on every calendar in the region and some nationwide as one of the premier festivals in New England.
