Join us for a night dedicated to avant-garde performance– ft. noise, ambient droning, and sonic immersion. The Asthmatic ' s Avant-vocals inspired by sounds in the animal kingdom meshed with Ambient Electronic nature cut-ups. Nick Lawler creates immersive sonic environments using drones and texture to facilitate a deep and encompassing experience id m theftable is undefined. Learn more about their work in BOMB magazine Aaron Haines will bring "Surrealistic panic pop" Monday, October 20 at 7:00 PM (Doors 6:30 PM). $10 for Mechanics' Hall Members, $15 for General Admission, no one turned away for lack of funds at the door. ABOUT THE SERIES Inspired by a certain well-known desk-based concert series, the Mechanics’ Hall
brings the same stripped-down, close-up energy, with more library cards and fewer office supplies.
Equal parts cozy hangout and low-key listening room, this weeknight series transforms the Mechanics’ Hall Library into one of Portland’s most intimate and unexpected music venues.

Parking is available at the
Arts District Garage
, which has entrances on Casco and Brown Street, with a rate of $5 per hour. Metered street parking is available on Congress, Casco, Cumberland, Free Street, and other nearby streets. Free hourly street parking is available between Parris and Alder Street.
