Rex Gregory is a New Orleans–born multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator celebrated for his expressive voice on saxophone, clarinet, and flute. Deeply rooted in the city’s rich musical traditions, he has performed and recorded with an eclectic roster of artists, including Aretha Franklin, Dr. John, Rickie Lee Jones, and Pretty Lights. Gregory is also an accomplished composer, releasing projects such as An End to Oblivion and Rocket Summer, which blend jazz, chamber music, and improvisation. Known for his versatility and commitment to creative exploration, he continues to contribute to New Orleans’ vibrant music scene through performance, recording, and teaching.
