The first event of the season is about to get started! Leadership retreat is a lot of fun. Students and Parents please read this carefully so we can have a smooth day. We will drive ourselves to this location. Parents if you are uncomfortable with your student driving or getting a ride with another student, you may provide transportation both to and from. That choice is completely up to you.
AM - Meet in the Lakota West Main Band Parking Lot - I'll make sure everyone has the Morgans release form signed before we go. (We will leave for the event together)
You must bring the Morgans rafting release and it must be signed by a parent.
Also bring a copy of your ID just in case.
Appx schedule:
8:40- Leave for Morgans’ Canoe
7040 Whitewater River Ln. Brookeville, IN 47012
9:30- Arrive at Morgan’s Canoe- Epic safety lecture
10-3pm- Rafting!
Make sure you bring a packed lunch and bottled water we eat lunch along the river
Wear a bathing suit under some old clothes - We usually stop and swim and it will be hot.
(You must wear some type of shoes)-
Water shoes are the best- Second set of shoes for after the rafting.
- Bring a change of clothes and a towel- there are showers you can use after the raft trip
- Sunscreen, and bug spray!
4:00pmish- Leadership meeting and gear up for the season
5:00pm- Dinner is provided by the band boosters and catered by Luigi's. It’s awesome stuff.
8:30pm- Leave Morgan’s and drive carefully back to the high school.
