Paint Your Pet for Veterans & Military Families (Free!) Where: McDowell Senior Center When: September 26th from 10-12pm How: Register in advance (read below) Contact: Jordan Laney jordanllaney@gmail.com | 828-406-6514 Instructor: Cindy Biggerstaff This free class is offered to veterans, military-families and caregivers and limited to 10 participants. You must pre-register and have access to a digital photo of your pet (or the pet you will paint). The finished product will be an 11x14 inch portrait of your pet. Step 1) Register by/before September 10th by contacting Jordan Laney at jordanllaney@gmail.com or by call/texting 828-406-6514. Step 2) Email or text a photo of your pet. This will need to be a close up of the pet’s head/face. Instructor Cindy Biggerstaff makes this class fun for all levels – she will prepare a canvas for you to paint (examples below). No experience needed! Supplies are provided. This program is part of ‘Gather Round; a project supporting military-families, veterans, and caregivers in McDowell, NC through trauma informed arts-based services. Support is provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Creative Forces, McDowell Arts Council Association and the McDowell County Senior Center.
