Join us for the 19th annual Walking Thru Autumn hiking series, where you can enjoy the beauty of fall on crisp autumn mornings! Starting September 6 at 9:00 am, this series offers guided hikes on easy to moderate terrain across 30+ miles of Park District trails. Each week, 60-90 participants gather for a hike lasting approximately 1.5 hours. Complete 6 out of the 8 hikes to earn a 2025 Metro Parks hiking stick medallion, with hand-made wood hiking sticks available for $10. Registration is available online at www.jampd.com, with the final day to register for the last 6 hikes being September 19. Late registrations are welcome but won't qualify for the medallion. Join us on a journey through stunning locations like Haver Ridge, Motter Metro Park, and more, culminating on October 25 at Hermon Woodlands. Embrace the fall season in your parks!
