What: Donation Station purchases food using community donations and accepts donations of produce that we then transport back to storage to distribute to food access partners later. Volunteers help log produce data and engage market customers to encourage donations (no soliciting, but we need to be friendly) . Where: Athens Farmers Market @ the Athens Community Center; outside under the solar panels on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Wednesday markets are April through November. When: Market is 9am-noon; we ask volunteers to be available to help pack up and unload at ACEnet if possible. ** Touch base with others on your shift to determine exactly when/where you should arrive. Attire: Comfortable clothing; close-toed shoes; dress to be out in the weather. Please be mindful that you are representing CFI in a very public place. Bring a water bottle. Parking: If meeting at the market, please park in the lot behind the TireChoice Auto Shop (by Marshall's) and walk to the Donation Station booth (look for the CFI Veggie Van) under the solar panels.
