On Thursday, October 16 from 6-7 p.m., JCPL will welcome local author and Bluffton, Indiana native, Jayne Schriver to the library to read her picture book, Not Walter. This fun, rhyming story is about a shelter dog adoption and the process of naming him. At the event, Jayne will begin by reading her books, and families will then have a chance to meet a Jay County Humane Society employee, as well as therapy dogs. Following the book reading, children will have a chance to participate in a variety of dog-themed activities, including adopting their own stuffed dog! Jayne’s books will be available for purchase at the event. Come meet a local author, hear a great book, and have a paw-some time! No registration required.
