Catherine Dupuis is an American jazz vocalist based in New York City since the mid-'80s. Born in Columbus, GA, she grew up in State College, PA, where her passion for music took root. After studying jazz and theatrical music at Indiana University and earning an M. F. A. from Penn State, Dupuis became an influential presence in NYC's jazz scene. With albums like I Hear Music (1999) and The Rules of the Road (2006) , she blends jazz with cabaret and theatrical influences. Recently, Dupuis has moved back to her hometown of State College, PA, and shes excited to reconnect with her roots and share her music with the community that helped shape her.
