On June 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:45 PM, the third annual Sips and Sounds Food and Beverage Festival will take place at Sidney Friedman Park. This event will celebrate local businesses with an evening filled with live music, delicious food, and refreshing drinks. Attendees will receive hundreds of $10 tokens to encourage shopping at downtown businesses in the days following the festival.
Additionally, from June 26-28, 2025, Black Leaders Detroit presents the 2025 Ride 4 Equity: Road to Reparations, a historic 35-day cross-country bike race. Kicking off from Black Wall Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this event will pass through State College, PA, on June 26, before continuing to Wall Street in New York City.
