How do we talk with our kids about the things that matter most—the things that can feel the hardest to bring up? Join us on Sunday, October 19, from 3-5:00 PM, at the Granville Center for the Arts, for a Prepared Parents Session led by Counselor Mark Hamilton from Focus Point Counseling and Chrisi and Jamie Rogerson from Thrive for Theron. Together, they’ll guide parents of K–12 students through practical tools and strategies for starting meaningful conversations about suicide, addiction, isolation, and other difficult topics. Through this experience, you’ll discover how even the toughest conversations can become opportunities for deeper connection and trust with your children. To help these lessons take root, you’ll also take part in a hands-on art activity (no artistic skills required.) Guided by what you’ve learned, you’ll create a 4x4” message tile for your children—a lasting piece of encouragement and connection born out of the session’s insights.
