We are hosting a Free Community Clothing Giveaway on our church grounds at 9322 Johnson Road, The Plains, OH. The event will be held from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. on Saturday, August 2. This is an outdoor event, so in the event of rain, it will be rescheduled to Aug. 9. There are several volunteer opportunities: Donate clothing (registration NOT required) : We are currently accepting donations of clothing and shoes for all ages. Items to be donated must be clean and in wearable condition so they benefit the recipients. Call or text Kathleen Lasure at 740-767-3983 for more information and to schedule a donation. Pre-event opportunities: We will need assistance sorting and storing the donations. Please contact coordinator Kathleen Lasure at 740-767-3983. Day-of event opportunities: We will need assistance serving the community members who show up to receive clothing. We will provide volunteers with cold water and a snack or meal during your shift.
