Meet the Artist this Tuesday, June 17 at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6:30. Kirsta Benedetti will explain her vision for the Life is Precious exhibit. This exhibit captures 15 women’s regrets from inside prison. You can read their journals where they detail how they made bad choices that led them to the fateful actions they are imprisoned for. Kirsta asks them who they thought they would be today if their decisions and situations were different. Augmented reality artist Michelle Gatchell ads to these women portraits with words from their journals aboit the things they miss most since being imprisoned and hear in their own words who they have become with rehabilitaion, the person that they wish people would know, instead of just remembering them for the bad choices they made. It is a moving tale of how Life Is Precious and rehabilitation does happen. Come to Gallery 22 for this FREE special event as an artist shares her inspiration and technique.
