Details:
Nature Journaling helps to deepen your observational and drawing skills of the natural world. The practice of keeping a nature journal is an extremely effective and engaging way to observe, spark curiosity, and think creatively. When we use words, pictures, and numbers to journal, it helps us to think differently and make a more complete record of what we see. Starting (or maintaining) a nature journal is a way to rediscover the thrill of science. It helps us to slow down, look, ask questions, and piece together answers. This online workshop will provide you with engaging, hands-on instruction on how to begin your exploration of nature journaling (or enhance an already established practice). Within the workshop, we will explore the basics of nature journaling, learn creative ways to layout a nature journal page, practice observational drawing techniques, and use reflective prompts to deepen our awareness. At the end of the workshop, participants will have a complete nature journal entry for the day plus skills and resources to continue the practice. Registrants will receive the meeting link and instructions before the event.
