On December 6, 2025, join the BHC for an exclusive tour of the White House, beautifully adorned for Christmas. This special event, "White House Christmas with Charlie Adams," runs from 5:30 AM to 7:30 PM and marks our third visit to this iconic residence, but the first during the festive season. We are all eagerly anticipating the holiday theme chosen by the First Family this year! Alongside the White House tour, the day will include an enriching afternoon visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, adding a cultural and historical dimension to your experience. The National Museum of African American History and Culture is a newly opened (2016) state-of the-art building that addresses nearly every aspect of the African-American experience, covering the arts, slavery, the Civil Rights Movement, athletics and more. Its mission is to capture and share the unvarnished truth of African American history and culture by connecting stories, scholarships, art, and artifacts from the past and present to illuminate the contributions, struggles, and triumphs that have shaped our nation. The National Museum of African American History and Culture forges new and compelling avenues for audiences to experience the arc of living history. Sweet Home Cafe, located within the museum, showcases the rich culture and history of the African American people with traditional, authentic offerings as well as present-day food traditions, and is one of your options for lunch on-your-own. If you do not wish to visit this museum, you can experience free time in DC or visit, directly across the street, the National Museum of American History (has a food court and no timed ticket is needed). The cost is $225 for BHC Members and $250 for Non-Members. Be sure to make your reservation by the August 15, 2025 deadline. Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to enjoy a day filled with history, culture, and holiday cheer. Secure your spot today! The bus departs promptly at 5:45 AM, so please be there no later than 5:30 AM (pickup location TBD - more information coming soon!). The event concludes at approximately 6 PM, with transportation provided by Elite Coach. The price does not include bus driver tips (an envelope will be passed around on the return trip home).
