Depart from Sinking Spring and journey toward our overnight lodging, enjoying time to relax and connect with fellow travelers. We’ll stop for meals on your own and enjoy a surprise Mystery Museum stop along the way. Day 2 – Fayetteville & Savannah Arrival After breakfast, we visit the US Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville, NC, honoring the feats of America’s elite forces. Then we head south to Savannah, GA, where we check into our hotel. Enjoy dinner on your own at a local restaurant. Day 3 – Historic Savannah A local guide will lead us on a 2-hour tour through Savannah’s National Historic Landmark District, featuring 18th and 19th-century architecture, charming squares, and waterfront warehouses turned shops and cafes. After lunch on your own in Old City Market, we visit the Savannah History Museum, home to over 10,000 Southern artifacts. Finish the day browsing Savannah’s River Street District and enjoy dinner on your own. Day 4 – Beaufort & Entertainment Night Today we explore Beaufort, SC, once dubbed “The Queen of the Carolinas,” known for its antebellum mansions and moss-draped streets. We also visit the Parris Island Museum, showcasing US Marine Corps history. Back in Savannah, enjoy a family-style dinner at The Lady & Sons, followed by a fantastic musical revue show at the historic Savannah Theatre. Day 5 – Georgia’s Golden Isles Travel to St. Simons Island for a guided tour with visits to Christ Church and Fort Frederica, then enjoy lunch and shopping in St. Simons Village. Next, explore Jekyll Island, once an exclusive retreat for America’s wealthiest families. Tour the historic Jekyll Island Club Hotel and enjoy dinner before returning to Savannah. Days 6 & 7 – Return Journey with Surprises Travel home with warm memories and new friends. We’ll stop at Mystery Museums along the way to make the journey as enriching as the destination.
