Details:
Role-playing Games (RPGs) are narrative-style games where players create characters and interact in a storied adventure. Oftentimes, these stories continue through multiple recurring session to create a truly epic tale! Games like Dungeons & Dragons or Pathfinder take that idea a step further, giving characters specific abilities and strengths that are represented by rolling dice within a game system that helps communicate the possibility of success or failure at overcoming each challenge. There are many other games as well, and they range from classic fantasy to Sci-Fi, to gothic horror in genre and style. Meet fellow adventurers for an evening of RPGs at one of ACG's adventuring tables at this weekly recurring event. Joining a Table/Group & the Adventure Board: ACG currently does not organize any of the games or playgroups attending this event. Therefore, we have limited control over whether a group will remain open to new players, or if they become full (RPGs typically can accommodate between 3 and 8 players maximum, based on the situation). We invite interested players to come in and inquire whether there are openings if they are looking to participate in an ongoing group. To assist, ACG will maintain an Adventure Board where players can advertise their availability, and prospective groups can send out a call to adventure anew! What players (may) need: Players will likely want to have access to the core rulebook of whatever game system their table intends to run. Books like D&D's Player's Handbook, Pathfinder's Core Rulebook, and others are consistently available for purchase in-store. It is also likely players will want a set of dice related to the game they intend to play. Most RPGs are set to using an RPG polyhedral dice set containing dice ranging from d4 (4-sided), all the way up to d20 (20-sided). These dice are also available in-store in all manner of sizes, colors, and styles! Most players really enjoy collecting and using dice that feel specific to their current character! Lastly, players will want basic writing materials like pencils and possibly a notepad/journal to keep track of story notes and developments as they play. Event Entry: Free ($0)
