The Greater Huntington Symphonic Band and jazz band will perform a free concert for Poage Landing Days in Ashland on Sunday, September 28 at 4:30 pm on the Armstrong Stage in Central Park. The jazz band, directed by Tom Chaffin, will perform first followed by the symphonic band which is directed by guest conductor and GHSB clarinetist, Dr. Harry Faulk.
The jazz band will open the concert with The Star-Spangled Banner, followed by The Best of Queen; Freddie the Freeloader; Green Onions; Over the Rainbow; Sing, Sing, Sing!; The Pink Panther; On the Sunny Side of the Street; and Take the “A” Train. The symphonic band will follow with On Broadway; The Black Horse Troop; The Symphonic Beatles; Radetzky March; The Sound of Music; Under the Double Eagle; Someone to Watch Over Me; As Time Goes By; Colonel Bogey March; This Is My Country; and Semper Fidelis March.
