Want to get your brain and body moving and meet new friends? Scottish Country Dance is a social dance form a bit like contra, but with more footwork. The name of the game is fun! Start at the very beginning, with no partner or experience necessary. If you can walk briskly, you can dance. This four-week class meets every Sunday at the Athens Community Center between September 28 and October 19. Each week we'll be building on the previous week's session, so drop-ins aren't possible. (However, if you need to miss a single class, you'll be fine.) Cost: $20 for all four classes. Register online or at the front desk on your way in. Attire: Clothes you can move in. Sneakers or ghillies are great on your feet. Dresses, kilts, shorts, or yoga pants are all perfect. Come dance with us!
